Valley Idol Junior finalists to show their talent

The eighth annual Sno Valley Idol Junior Finals is 6 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Mount Si High School Auditorium.

Fourteen finalists—Mikaela Ballard, Brianna Bilotta, Annie Bruckner, Chayla Brewster, Allyson Conlon, Jessica Cowley, Hillary Curd, Mckenna Esteb, Catherine Haney, Baylee McCloskey, Coraly Miller, Kerstin Nillson, Tori Rose, and Taryn Scoones—are on the roster and will perform a variety of music styles.

The Sno-Valley Idol Junior contest is open to all Snoqualmie Valley youth ages 5 through 14, and has gained momentum each and every year. The auditions were held February 11 at Boxleys Place in North Bend. The judges had the very difficult task of selecting just fourteen finalists from the 30 registered participants. The panel of music industry experts, Annmarie Farris, Susanna Fuller and Danny Kolke, scored contestants on natural ability, quality of performance, showmanship and audience appeal offering valuable advice and encouragement to each participant.

The finalists will be scored by the same panel of experts on March 30. Top three contestants will be selected by the judges, after which the overall winner will be selected by audience vote—be sure to attend to vote for your favorite young star. Admission is $2.

Every attendee in the audience is eligible for one vote. Top three finalists receive small prizes as well as invitations to perform at several local community wide events throughout the year.

Sno-Valley Idol Junior competition is organized by Si View Metro Parks with generous help from volunteers Michael Csendes (sound, lighting/decorations), Mount Si High School Wildcat Production Club (sound tech assistance and video recording), Annmarie Farris (judging), Susanna Fuller (judging), and Danny Kolke (judging).
