Warm up school music program with Jazz night fundraiser, tonight at Boxley's

Mount Si High School's Jazz I band is on its way to a prestigious national festival, and putting on a show tonight at Boxley's to raise funds for their March trip to Savannah, Georgia.

Tonight's show starts at 7 p.m. at Boxley's, 101 W North Bend Way, North Bend.

The students travel to Savannah March 27 for the festival, "Swing Central" which is one of the most challenging high school jazz competitions in the country, said band leader Adam Rupert.

Mount Si is one of 12 schools selected from the auditions, held earlier this year.
