Valley man is Snoqualmie schools' new business director

Valley resident Ryan Stokes will join the Snoqualmie Valley School District July 12 as its new director of business services.

The district's board introduced and welcomed Stokes during their regular meeting on Thursday evening, June 24, after they took action to approve his contract.

Stokes will replace Ron Ellis, who is retiring after 30 years in school district finance and operations, eight with Snoqualmie Valley. Ellis will continue through August 31, to assist with Stokes’ transition.

Stokes is a licensed, certified public accountant who currently works as an external audit manager for a national public accounting firm. Stokes has lived in the Snoqualmie Valley for eight years and has three school-aged children attending Valley schools.

The Director of Business Services is responsible for budget planning and management, enrollment staffing allocations, and state and federal financial reporting. This position also oversees district teams that support the infrastructure of our schools including: business services, maintenance and operations, transportation, personnel, food services and facilities improvements.
