Nominations open for Friends of the Snoqualmie Library president
September 18, 2009 · 9:42 AM
Nominations are being accepted for the position of president of the Friends of the Snoqualmie Library, an all-volunteer group that supports library programs such as the Summer Reading Program, Books for Babies, and other offerings for children, teens, and adults.
The next meeting is 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21 at the Snoqualmie Library, during which nominations will be accepted for the office of president. The president leads the monthly meeting, assists the group’s other officers with their tasks if needed, and communicates information to the general membership. All residents are encouraged to bring their ideas and energy.
The group meets once per month at the Snoqualmie Library to discuss ways to increase awareness of library offerings and to plan fundraising activities for special library programs. Funds are raised primarily through community book sales and membership dues. Membership is $10 per year for individuals and $20 per year for families.
