Fall City family welcomes grandchildren

Tom and Irene Pike of Fall City welcomed the birth of two new great-grandchildren this summer.

Tyson Emmitt made his appearance at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham on July 25, weighing in at eight pounds, 14 ounces and 21.5 inches. He is the first child for Mike and Rachell Barksdale of Bellingham. Grandparents are Drew and Laurie Pike of Blaine and Linda Barksdale of Woodinville. The other great-grandparents are Gene and Mary Stainer of Oso and Gladys and Jim Shay of Wenatchee, Wash.

Shantelle Alexa made her appearance at Valley General Hospital in Renton on Saturday, Aug. 22, weighing in at eight pounds, three ounces. She was 19.5 inches long. Shantelle is the first child for Mike and Jessica Nettekoven of Auburn. She is also the first grandchild for Mary Hawkins, Ron Hawkins, Larry and Cindy Nettekoven, all of Maple Valley, and Beth Nettekoven of Renton. Great-grandparents are the late Bob and Lucille Hawkins of Maple Valley, Sandi Lanscardi of Federal Way and Ruth Ann and David McGee of Montana.
