The next yard and food waste drop-off date for Snoqualmie residents is 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 29, at the King Street parking lot in downtown Snoqualmie. Drop off requires residency in the 98065 ZIP code; bring a water utility bill for verification.

Residents should drop off yard and food waste in reusable containers, paper bags, or cardboard boxes that can be recycled.

Accepted items include grass, leaves, weeds, plants, flowers, and small branches and limbs (three inches by three feet), food scraps, and coffee grounds.

Items not accepted include sod, dirt, manure, plastic bags, trash, construction debris, wood, large branches, stumps, rocks, concrete, asphalt, pet waste and household garbage.

The Yard/Food Waste Drop-off Program will be weekly, rather than monthly, during September and October.
