Kristie Hays of North Bend got some company from daughters Julie, 1, and Danielle, 5, staffing a benefit yard sale helping Three Rivers Dog Rescue in Snoqualmie.

The yard sale is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 17 and 18, at 8054 Falls Avenue in Downtown Snoqualmie, next to House of Soul coffee shop.

The sale includes a wide selection of furntiture, plates, books and antiques. Three Rivers Dog Rescue is facing challenges due to the struggling economy. Many families are having to give up their pets, according to Hays. The sale helps a spay and neuter program.

The sale includes a raffle with goodies and gift certificates for dog- and people-grooming.
