The Mount Si High School cheerleader squad took first place and received a $1000 donation to help their program at the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Spirit on the Course competition.

The event was held Saturday, June 27 in Seattle, coinciding with the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. The marathon organizers invited cheer squads from all over Washington to show their spirit and cheer on the 25,000 runners who participated. Mount Si's uniformity and elaborate costumes stood out. The team was described by their coach as enthusiastic and in sync from that morning's 6:30 a.m. start.
