Bleachers needed for Fall City fields Old stands did not meet standards

Fall City Little League needs 12 bleachers for ball fields at Chief Kanim Middle School and Fall City Elementary.
Parents and other spectators have been setting up chairs from home all the way to first base, putting them in danger when players hit fly balls. Old bleachers were recently removed by the school district because they did not meet new safety codes.
The league is asking community members to donate or sell used bleachers, which league leadership would be happy to bring up to code.
“We’ll put blood, sweat and tears into retrofitting bleachers,” said Terri Campbell, treasurer for the league, which serves about 800 children from Fall City, Ames Lake, the Issaquah Plateau and Snoqualmie Ridge.
Campbell asked that anyone willing to sell or donate bleachers, or make a cash contribution to the cause, call her at (425) 765-1241.
