Members of the Fall City Grade School eighth grade Class of 1958 got together for their 50-year class reunion, Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Fall City Roadhouse. Twenty-one out of 30 classmates attended, traveling from Sweden, Florida, Virginia, Idaho, and all points in Washington. Teacher Don Munson and his wife Eileen were special guests at this event, and guests said the staff at the Roadhouse helped to make it special, with a first-class dinner. Every class member gave a brief update on their life’s activities with a little “teacher roasting” added. A little “student roasting” followed when Munson took the floor. The event concluded with a champagne toast and a class picture, staged just like the picture taken in 1958. Pictured are, from left, back row, Joe Vogler, Lee Baldwin, Mike Wieting, teacher Don Munson, Barb Griffith Brooker, Rick Zackrison, middle row, Gordon Pownall, Mickey Ray Widen, Marion Morgan Querro, Roger Hallowell, Dennis Hamilton, Ann Schiesser Bradshaw, Janet Venema Richardson, front row, Frank Grant, Ralph Olson, Mary Gail Thompson Crispin, Ron Slott, Joyce Philbrick, Paul Corliss and Harold Haakenson. Present, but missing from the picture, was Rita Stendera Barnett.
