Send-off for senior center director is Wednesday

The Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation will bid farewell to executive director Amara Oden, with an open house, 3 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the center, 4610 Stephens Ave., Carnation. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.

Oden is leaving the center after seven years as director, to launch her own business, Amara Oden Consulting. The new center director will be Carnation resident and Chamber of Commerce president, Peggy McNamara.
