Carnation Elementary School was recently selected to participate in a statewide school transportation survey. The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction randomly selected only 250 schools to be in the survey, which is now scheduled for late February.
The study consists of a telephone interview of parents of children in Kindergarten through eighth grade. It takes roughly five to eight minutes to complete, and all participants will receive a summary of the findings next fall. Questions are about transportation practices of students and barriers to walking, biking, or riding the bus. The study is being funded by the state legislature.
