After a rigorous selection process, Peyton McCulley, a 17-year-old North Bend student and senior at Mount Si High School, was selected in November as a member of Congressman Dave Reichert’s 2013-2014 Youth Advisory Board.

She is the only Valley representative on the 23-student board, which was first formed in 2011 to get input from young men and women and future leaders.

“I am honored to be joined by this group of bright young men and women,” stated Reichert.  “Today’s youth are very informed and understand that federal policy affects us all, no matter how young or old.  Therefore, it is especially important to hear everyone’s opinion.  These young people will also one day be in charge of leading this nation, so I believe that encouraging them to get involved now can only be a benefit to this state and this country.”
