LEO hosts fundraising luncheon, soap box car race

Life Enrichment Options (LEO) invites community members to join them in celebrating the life journeys of the residents of the LEO homes, and others the organization serve who live each day with a developmental disability. The celebration, “It’s About the Journey” with guest host John  Curley, is a fundraising luncheon taking place on October 22, 2013, at 11:30 am, at the Pickering Barn in Issaquah.

LEO is committed to continue its efforts to support and advocate for those with developmental disabilities to achieve their life style goals through supportive housing, recreation and employment opportunities, and community education. LEO has been able to achieve their past goals through partnerships and collaborations developed from our caring community, and you are part of that caring community.

Challenge Race

LEO's Change Race is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the foot of Snoqualmie Parkway.

The Challenge Race gives children with developmental disabilities—no taller than five feet, two inches, and 130 pounds or less— the thrill of a soap box derby-type race while riding in a car piloted by a typically developing driver. Lunch and awards cap the day.
