The Nursery at Mount Si hosts "Grange on the Range," a Sallal Grange open mic night, 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, in a benefit for the North Bend Theatre. All proceeds from donations and concessions will benefit the theater.

Theatrical releases are changing formats, creating a big financial challenge for the North Bend Theatre, which will have to buy expensive new digital equipment just to remain in business. Many in the Snoqualmie Valley have rallied around the theatre and are helping to raise funds for the needed equipment.

Although this is the North Bend Sallal Grange's usual open mic event, held the first Friday of every month, it all be at the Nursery at Mount Si this month, and called Grange on the Range. The first weekend of every August, the Grange reverts to its iconic status as the Post Office of Twin Peaks for the annual Twin Peaks Festival, Aug. 2 to 4, and the Nursery at Mount Si takes over host duties. The Grange will sell concessions, such as pizza, cookies, chips, soft drinks, coffee, tea and other treats.

Grange on the Range opens around 6 p.m., with music starting at 7.

The Nursery at Mt. Si is located at 42328 NE 12th St  North Bend, WA 98045. For detailed directions, visit
