Garry Trussell, a long-time North Bend resident, died at home Wednesday, June 3, surrounded by family. He was born in Cashmere, Wash., in 1941 and grew up on Whidbey Island and in Snoqualmie. He graduated from Mount Si High School in 1960.

Garry is survived by his son Kevin, daughter Lisa and four grandchildren.

He was active in the community, serving as a director for the Youth Activity Center, a Little League coach, Assistant Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts and vice-president of the Eagles Lodge. Garry may be best remembered for chairing the Mount Si Fish and Game Club’s Kids Trout Derby. This event introduced Valley children to the joy of fishing, one of his favorite pastimes.

He will be missed by family, friends and fellow fishermen.

A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at the Snoqualmie Eagles Lodge, 8200 Railroad Ave., Snoqualmie.
