Festival of the Arts winners get nods at Mount Si school show

Mount Si High School students displayed their original art works Thursday, April 18 for the school's Festival of the Arts event. Local professional artists judged the work, and selected the following winners.

In the Bonsai category: first place, Nate Whited, a senior; second place, Kasey Ross, a junior; and third place, Erin Grim, a freshman.

Painting: first place, senior Lydia Lofgren, for “Sad Explosion”; second place, senior Anna-Linnea Johansson, for “Anger”; and third place, freshman Sarah Hong, for “Hidden Pasture”.

Graphic/Drawing: first place, senior Sydney Tulip, for “Just a Pachycephalosaurus”; second place, senior Rachel Hayford, for “Hands”; and third place senior Jessica Graves, for “Watch”.

Photography: first place, senior Sam Isen, for “Jump”; second place, freshman Wynter Bailey Rhys, for “Boy with Mask”; and third place, freshman Vivian Zoeller, for “Keys”.
