Longest Night: Special prayer service planned for tonight at Snoqualmie Methodist Church

Sometimes, during the holidays, sadness or grief becomes an unwelcome but persistent presence in our lives.

If you are grieving over the absence of a loved one or because of some other kind of loss, you are welcome at a special prayer service, The Longest Night, 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at the Snoqualmie United Methodist Church.

You need not be a member of this church or of any church to participate. All that's necessary is  the desire to experience the comfort of others who find the solace of Christ in the presence of others.

There will be quiet music and opportunities to light candles, receive a blessing, or have individual prayer with a pastor. This service will be in the Sanctuary of Snoqualmie United

The service lasts about one hour.

The church is located at 38701 SE River Street in historic downtown Snoqualmie near Railroad Avenue.
