Santa's Toyland coming soon to sheriff's office

November 21, 2012 · 11:30 AM

The King County Sheriff’s Office will host the second annual Santa’s Toy Shop at the North Bend Sheriff's Substation, 1550 Boalch Ave. N.W. The event is a collection for the Kiwanis Giving Tree program, which provides holiday cheer to hundreds of Valley children each year.

Bring new unwrapped toys for kids, aged tots to teens Nov. 1 through Dec. 11.  The office is open Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 8:30 a.m. to noon on Fridays. Santa’s Toy Shop is expecting a special visit from Santa Claus at 6:30 p.m. Saturday Dec. 1. Parents are invited to bring their children to visit with Santa, and their cameras, to capture the holiday moment. Toy donations will be accepted during Santa's visit, too.

Also participating in the toy drive are the Sammamish Police/King County Sheriff's station, 801 228th Ave S.E., Sammamish, from Nov. 1 to Dec. 14.
