Valley residents and friends of former Tolt High School teacher and coach Larry Lydon are invited to help celebrate his 90th birthday with a party in Vancouver, Wash.

Lydon worked at Tolt High School from 1964 to 1976, and also worked in schools in Lewis County and in Vancouver before retiring to a blueberry farm in Duvall. About eight years ago, he moved back to Vancouver to be close to the rest of his family. Lydon celebrates his birthday at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at The Bedford, 13303 S.E. McGillivery Blvd., Vancouver. Contact The Bedford at (360) 891-6898. Lydon’s family asks that well-wishers make a donation to the Veterans Memorial Museum in Chehalis, where Lydon’s items from World War II are on display.
