Wacky Open House at Valley Center Stage
March 28, 2008 · Updated 4:27 PM
Valley Center Stage in North Bend presents an original and wacky new comedy by a Northwest playwright, Open House, in April.
Director Gary Schwartz directs this slapstick farce with many local actors whove trod the boards at the theater. There are also some some fresh faces making their first appearance at Valley Center Stage (formerly Unity Theater). Written by former Seattle copywriter Tom Donahoe, Open House has drawn comparisons to the Ealing Studio comedies of the 1950s and is something of a cross between Arsenic and Old Lace and The Golden Girls.
The play is appropriate for children ages 13 and older.
The play runs three weekends, April 4-5, 11-12 and 18-19. Friday showtimes are 8 p.m.; Saturday matinees are 2 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12.50 for seniors and children. Make reservations at www.valleycenterstage.org or by calling (425) 831-5667.
