$2,500 National Merit Scholarship for North Bend's Riley Edwards

Mount Si High School student Riley A. Edwards of North Bend is a recipient of a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship.

Edwards, who intends to study international relations, was among 2,500 designees chosen from among 15,000 finalists.

Winners are judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. They were selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors. Scholars may use their awards at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
