Battle of the Books inspires children to read, and librarians promote books and authors that young people might not otherwise discover.

Students in fourth and fifth grades in Snoqualmie Valley School District must read at least three books on the reading list to make the final teams competing for the district title.

This year’s Battle of the Books, a district-wide quiz-show contest based on books the students read earlier this year is set for 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 27, at North Bend Elementary School.
