First Aid, 'super sitters' classes set for teens in North Bend

Encompass will host two workshops designed for teens who are involved with childcare and babysitting. Teen First Aid and CPR class, offered from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, will focus on safety and prevention, CPR and choking rescue techniques including the Heimlich maneuver. Participants will receive a two-year certification card.
Super Sitters from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, will focus on parent expectations, child development, home security and more.
Cost for Teen First Aid and CPR is $60 and cost for the Super Sitters class is $35. Teens who sign up for both classes receive a $10 discount. Both classes will be held at the Encompass Main Campus, 1407 Boalch Ave. N.W., North Bend.
