Learn about emergency preparedness at Snoqualmie church meeting

Learn how to prepare for an emergency at a preparedness presentation Sunday, Oct. 2, starting at noon at Snoqualmie United Methodist Church. The event is free and open to the public.

Topics to be covered include personal and home preparedness, how the CERT program can help, local emergency information and resources, Reverse 911, the role of local emergency response teams, making an emergency kit, evacuations, how to receive local updates on conditions, CPR and basic first aid demonstrations with time for individual practice.

The event is presented by the Snoqualmie Fire Department, American Red Cross and the Wilderness Safety Academy.
