Recycle and shred at Fall Household Recycle Event, Saturday in Snoqualmie
Snoqualmie hosts a household recycle event, which is open to all King County residents, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Centennial Fields.
A comprehensive list of what will and will not be accepted at the recycling event is posted on the City of Snoqualmie website at www.cityofsnoqualmie.org in ‘Community Activities’.
Items accepted include reusable household goods; batteries; tires (for a fee); petroleum products; fluorescent bulbs/tubes; televisions, computer monitors, and other electronics; refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners (for a fee); small appliances; and scrap metal. Please do not bring oil-based paints, pesticides, household chemicals, packing peanuts, planter pots, lighting fixtures, or other non-acceptable items included on the recycle list.
Latex paint is not accepted. It should be dried out and placed in regular garbage bins.
Document destruction is available 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents are invited to bring up to three grocery bags or two copy paper sized boxes of residential records such as bank statements, ATM receipts, and old tax records.
Non-perishable food items will be accepted during the event for donation to the Mt. Si Helping Hand Food Bank. Learn more about the food bank and its services to the community on its website at www.mtsifoodbank.org.
