North Bend's Encompass preschool plans special needs ‘Champ Camp’
July 26, 2011 · 1:56 PM
Encompass is now preparing for its summer Champ Camp, designed to meet the needs of children who can benefit from structured teaching and enhanced speech group therapy to help strengthen their social language and behavioral skills.
Champ Camp addresses challenges that children age 5 to 12 might have with reading or understanding non-verbal cues, social interaction among peers and overall reciprocal communication. Campers mix with typical children, and they enjoy a community field trip each week. Sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 2-4, 9-11 and 16-18. Tuition is $175 per week, or $350 for all three weeks.
