February is National Heart Month, and Snoqualmie Elementary is celebrating by holding a Jump Rope For Heart event through Friday, Feb. 18.

Students jump rope as a fundraiser for the American Heart Association.

With all the jumping, there will be a 'Ring of Honor,' a tool used to bring a more personal side to the event. Each student or staff member can submit names of people in their lives that have heart disease or have died from heart disease, stroke or heart disease related illness. Each name will be put on a heart and hung on the wall in the gym.

A letter about Jump Rope For Heart and how people can participate in the fundraiser has gone home with students.

To make a donation, call event coordinator Jim McEldowney at 831-8045 or e-mail to mceldowneyj@svsd410.org
