The women of Curves for Women in North Bend worked so hard to find out the secret behind fitness center owner David Saucedo’s demise last January, they lost pounds and inches doing it.

The mystery of Curves owner David Saucedo’s “death” was finally put to rest last Wednesday, in the culmination of the fitness center’s six week murder mystery promotion.

Saucedo, Curves manager Cyndie Staten and staff came up with a twisted plot that required patrons to work out several days a week to receive written or spoken clues to the mystery.

“It’s a fun thing that helps them to remember to come in three days a week,” Staten said. Keeping it fun, she added, “is what Curves is all about.”

In the end, the mastermind was revealed as Staten herself.

“Curves will never be the same,” exclaimed patron Etta Katocs of Fall City.
