K-T Cattle Company in Carnation became the first King County farming business to be Certified Grassfed by A Greener World April 13.

This is the only certification in the U.S. and Canada that guarantees food products come from animals fed a 100 percent grass and forage diet, raised outdoors on pasture or range for their entire lives, and managed according to the Animal Welfare Approved welfare and environmental standards on an independent family farm.

Katie Haack of K-T Cattle Company said, “Like wine, beef is a product of the place where it comes from. How our beef tastes… is completely dependent on what the animals eat and the conditions under which they are raised.”
