Randa’s Caribbean Soul Food has a new location, starting this Saturday, April 16.

Chef Randa Fahie will be serving dinner, 6 to 9:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at the Sallal Grange Hall, 12912 432nd Ave. S.E., North Bend. She also does catering and delivery.

Fahie, born in St. Thomas Jamaica, grew up watching her grandmother cook for big family parties.

When her grandmother asked her if she wanted to cook one day, she said “The excitement I got was beyond anything I could describe,” Fahie said.

She learned to cook oxtails and gravy, jerk chicken and other Caribbean cuisine from her grandmother, and is happy to share her specialties with the Valley.

“I owe all my skills and respect to my beautiful and loving grandmother who passed on a wonderful and flavorful legacy,” she said.
