Howard Shultz was against the frapuccino, but Harry Roberts knew Howard would be missing a huge opportunity. Introduced by Starbucks in 1995, the frapuccino had surpassed $2 billion in sales by 2012.

Roberts, a consummate entrepreneur and Snoqualmie resident, returns to Umpqua Bank’s business workshop, noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3, to share his experiences in bringing product ideas to mass markets. He saved Calico Corners, started the retail kitchen store Kitchen Kaboodle and helped Ivar’s wholesale clam chowder business to produce nearly one million gallons of soup in 2015.
