Thursday, April 22, is "Take Your Daughter or Son to Work Day."

Congress set the fourth Thursday of April as a day for parents to bring their children to the workplace. The event helps teach children about the world of work, and get them dreaming about their own grown-up careers.

The day was started in 1993 by the Foundation for Women as the "Take Our Daughters to Work Day," and was later expanded to include sons.
