Edward Jones offers the Roth IRA
October 2, 2008 · Updated 6:57 PM
Elaine Weber, of the Edward Jones investment firm in Snoqualmie, is
offering a new way to save for retirement with Roth IRAs. The Roth
IRA allows individuals to set aside $2,000 annually that is potentially
tax-free and penalty-free. Contributions to a Roth IRA are not tax deductible.
However, the Roth IRA does allow for tax-free and penalty-free
distributions, which can be taken after five years from the tax year of the first
contribution. Distributions can also be taken when reaching age 59 1/2, for a
first-time home purchase, or for death or disability.
For more information on this investment opportunity call Elaine
at (425) 831-5026.
