Investment firm tops stock index

Over the past five years, the Edward Jones recommended portfolio has outperformed Standard and Poor's 500 stock index, announced Elaine Webber, local Edward Jones investment representative. During the 5-year period ending June 30, Edward Jones' recommended model portfolio returned 120.3 percent, topping the S&P's return of 96.6 percent.
