All small farmers or those interested in farming techniques are invited to the 2003 Small Farm Expo at the King County Fairgrounds in Enumclaw from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29. Exhibits will include local businesses and venders, such as seed companies, farm equipment, farm supply stores and livestock breeders; education booths from local agencies including conservation districts and the Washington State University-Cooperative Extension; and "how-to" demonstrations on compost, installing rubber mats, sheep-to-shawl fiber and spinning and using dogs for herding. Food booths will be on hand and crowds will see the second annual King County Poultry Show as well as animals being shown by local 4-H youth.
