North Bend residents Josh and Lisa Tuininga have started a home-based graphic design business called The Medium that will specialize in logo/identity/packaging; printed materials such as brochures, posters and other media; and Web site design and production. Josh, the lead designer, holds a bachelor's degree from the School of the Art institute of Chicago and has 7 years of graphic arts/illustration/animation experience. Lisa is the manager of operations, marketing and back-end Web site programming. The Medium will offer a yearly art grant to community members; the amount of which will depend on the company's earnings.
