Remlinger Farms signs on new chef

Gary Asmus recently accepted the position of executive chef for Remlinger Farms in Carnation. In addition to directing the farm's Country Restaurant, Asmus will supervise all food preparation for the fun park concession areas as well as the farm's private catering business for corporate picnics and private events.
Asmus has spent the past four years as the proprietor of his own catering business, tending to individuals as well as catering larger events. Prior to that, Asmus worked at The Bellevue Club, the Best Western Hotel in Federal Way and on the Spirit of Washington Dinner Train.
Remlinger Farms, one of the area's favorite summertime destinations for family fun, will be opening for weekends May 7. The farm features educational spring tours by reservation; a direct farm market; the Country Restaurant; U-pick strawberries, raspberries and pumpkins; birthday parties; the Country Fair Fun Park; Remlinger Farms' Fall Harvest Festival; and educational fall tours.
