Miller's Community and Arts Center in Carnation has planned two programs this month to encourage the arts in the Valley in very different ways. From 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, participants can design their own handbags with the help of popular Carnation artisan Annabelle, who offers offers a complete display of fabrics, colors, styles and notions.

From 7-10 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, Gary Schwartz of North Bend's Unity Theater will conduct an "Improvisation Through Theater Games" program. It's fun and experimental; no experience necessary. Cost is $50 and preregistration is required by Sept. 16.

For information on these and other programs taking place at Miller's, visit www.millersarts.com or call (425) 333-5007. Miller's is located at 4597 Tolt Ave.
