A North Bend doctor joined with two other women doctors to start a healthcare clinic with an emphasis on natural medicine.

Their company, Naturo-Medica LLC, announced the opening of the first location at the Pine Lake Plaza in Sammamish. The grand opening will be celebrated the week of Nov. 12-17 during normal business hours.

NaturoMedica was founded by three women physicians, who joined forces in 2006 to create an innovative healthcare clinic with an emphasis on natural medicine.

Physicians Tammy McInnis of North Bend, Jill Monster and Naomi Bryant originally met at Bastyr University, the nation's leading naturopathic medical school. They discovered they shared a similar vision for the future of healthcare.

"Our research shows that consumers are looking for a better solution to their healthcare needs - one that combines the best of what natural medicine and conventional healthcare have to offer with highly personalized service, modern technology and a convenient, pleasant experience," said Monster, who serves as chief executive officer.

Research shows that the average patient-doctor interaction time has fallen steadily to six minutes and that a patient normally speaks for an average of 18 seconds before the doctor interrupts.
