Washington State University’s King County Extention office has announced the 10th annual Harvest Celebration Farm Tour, set for Saturday, Sept. 27. The free tour gives residents a chance to experience local agriculture, learn the importance of supporting farmers and realize the value of eating locally-grown and prepared produce and foods.

This year, 27 farms are participating, including five new farms on the tour.

Local farms taking part include River Valley Cheese in Snoqualmie, Fall City Farms, Carnation Tree Farm, Hjertoos Farm, Dog Mountain Farm, Full Circle Farm, Jubilee Farm and Remlinger Farms in Carnation. Participants meet farmers, walk fields and pick produce, and take part in activities including live music, corn and bamboo mazes, workshops, and more.

For nearly 100 years, WSU Extension experts have provided resources that help individuals, families, and communities improve stewardship and quality of life in urban and rural King County.
