Business plans and bar trivia: Full slate of Valley Chamber events in the new year
Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce starts the new year with a full slate of activities aimed at educating and linking local business professionals. Events range from planning seminars to bar trivia for young professionals.
A regional Chamber Networking Breakfast is 7:30 to 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the Issaquah Holiday Inn. Meet and make contacts with chamber members from Snoqualmie Valley, Issaquah, Sammamish, Newcastle and Mercer Island.
Chamber luncheon: Sustainable Snoqualmie Valley"
An interactive, expanded Chamber lunch presentation looks at "Leading the Way to a Sustainable Snoqualmie Valley," 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, 36005 S.E. Ridge St., Snoqualmie.
Members of the Snoqualmie Valley, Carnation and Duvall chambers of commerce, the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network, the Snoqualmie Strategy Group and the Mountains to Sound Greenway will discuss the economy, environment and society. Cost is $15.
Chamber breakfast seminar: business planning
Making a concise business plan is the topic of a January 24 breakfast seminar hosted by the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber's "College of Business Knowledge" breakfast is 7:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the Mount Si Golf Course Restaurant, 9010 Boalch Ave.
Consultant Arnie Hendricks shares ideas on the importance of business planning, and how to do it on a single page. He will cover key questions to ask as you develop your vision, mission, strategies, objectives, and action plans.
Having a business plan for 2014 will help your organization facilitate conversations, clarify expectations, assure accountability, encourage collaboration, and keep activities focused on your vision.
Cost is $15 for chamber members, $20 for visitors.
Chamber After Hours: Euro Lounge
The Euro Lounge Cafe in North Bend hosts the next Snoqualmie Valley Chamber After-Hours event, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29.
Born in Romania, owner Sinacia Yovanovich opened the cafe, which serves crepes and coffee, in 2011. Part of the establishment serves as a rental hall for special events.
The cafe is located at 129 W. North Bend Way, North Bend.
Admission is $15, or $10 is you are a chamber member.
Valley Young Professionals host bar trivia, networking
The chamber of commerce's Valley Young Professionals hosts a special event, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Snoqualmie Brewery and Tap Room, 8032 Falls Ave. S.E.
At Valley Young Professionals Sips with VYPs and YIPs, enjoy beer, food, networking and bar trivia with the Valley Young Professionals.
Admission is $20.
